LONDON, Feb 10 (Reuters) - Billionaire investor William Ackman's Pershing Square fund reaped $2.7 billion on interest rate trades in 2022, but not enough to plug losses and the fund finished the year down almost 9%, according to an investor presentation seen by Reuters.

U.S.stock indexes had a dismal 2022 with the S&P 500 slumping almost 20%, as the Federal Reserve battled soaring inflation with aggressive interest rate hikes that roiled markets.

Pershing Square Capital Management in 2022 lost 8.8% of its net asset value its worst result since 2016, while its share price fell 14.6%, the presentation dated Feb.9 showed.

The assets minus the liabilities in Ackman's fund trade at a discount to its share price. The fund may consider moving its listing from Europe to the United States to remedy this, a Jefferies analyst note said on Friday.

"It would likely offer a very good chance of materially narrowing the discount, given the nexus for the fund and manager has always been the U.S. anyway," said the Jefferies note.

"This possibility is also something that we do not feel is currently reflected in PSH's share price," it said.

The contents of the presentation were reported by Institutional Investor on Thursday.

Pershing Square traditionally holds a smaller number of investments.Stock positions in companies such as Lowe's , Netflix, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Domino's Pizza, Hilton and Universal Music Group detracted from positive performance elsewhere, the note said.

A performance fee was not charged by Pershing Square Holdings in 2022, the presentation said.

Positions in Netflix and Domino's Pizza were sold in order to free up capital for new opportunities, said the presentation.

Interest rate protection in the form of derivatives known as swaptions, evden eVe NAKLiyAT a bet on volatility in rates markets, the fast food company Restaurant Brands International, energy hedges and share buybacks all retraced losses, the presentation said.

The interest rate hedges were initiated in late 2020 and early 2021.In 2022 the fund entered new positions in long-term interest rates, currencies and energy it said.

The Fed raised rates from near zero in March to a range of 4. If you have any type of concerns pertaining to where and exactly how to utilize EVdeN eVE NaKLiyat, you can call us at our own webpage. 25%-4.5% last year, hiking rates by a further 25 basis points last week.

Male escort husband of Phil Collins's ex demands she be thrown in jail

<更新日時> 07月10日(月) 02:55

The estranged boy toy husband of Phil Collins's ex-wife Orianne Bates has asked a court to throw her in jail over unpaid bills for his leased $340,000 Aston Martin, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal.

Former male escort Thomas Bates, 33, has filed a motion in their demanding Orianne, 49, is incarcerated for nearly six months for contempt because she failed to make up overdue lease payments after being ordered to pay by the judge - and instead jetted off to Europe.

His attorney alleges the former wife of retired pop legend Phil, 72, has 'not paid a penny' and continues to 'thumb her nose' at Broward County Circuit Court in Fort Lauderdale, .

'Instead of complying with the Court's order, Wife flew to Paris and then jetted to Switzerland for the holidays, posting extremely "filtered" photographs of herself and her children all over the internet, proudly displaying her carefree lifestyle,' Bates's attorney Deborah Bianchi Tracht wrote.

'Simultaneously herewith, Husband is filing a Motion for Writ for Issuance of a Writ of Bodily Arrest…'

Former male escort Thomas Bates, 33, has filed a motion in his bitter divorce battle demanding Orianne, 49, is incarcerated for nearly six months for contempt

The attorney adds in the new filing: 'Husband requests that Wife be held in Contempt and that she be incarcerated in the Broward County jail for one hundred and seventy nine (179) days or until further order of this Court or until she pays the purge amount totally the full amount past due on the Aston Martin.'

Court records show Orianne has been ordered four times to make up the payments on the 2021 supercar, which she has previously demanded Bates returns because of her 'dire financial straits'.

It has a James Bond-style TB 007 license plate and costs an incredible $6,594.40 a month to lease, according to legal documents obtained by DailyMail.com.

The jail threat is the latest twist in the saga that saw the couple wed in secret in Las Vegas in August 2020 while Orianne was still living with rocker Phil at his oceanfront mansion in Miami Beach - but split spectacularly just 16 months later.

Bates's attorney alleges Orianne has 'not paid a penny' and instead flew to Paris

Former tribute band guitarist Bates, who failed in his bid for a music career in Los Angeles before his secret nuptials, claims he was forced to sign the car lease at a Miami dealership and that Orianne had promised to make the payments.

But the battle of the Aston Martin is just from both sides in a divorce fight now entering its 15th month.

And as the warring couple continue to wrangle over assets, DailyMail.com can reveal the spectacular spending of Orianne as certified in her own court documents.

The Swiss-born jewelry designer bagged a $47million payout from Genesis legend Phil in their 2008 divorce. But she lost a bid for half his $40million Miami Beach mansion after reuniting with him in 2015 - then astonishingly setting up home there with Bates before the couple were evicted.

During their stay, Orianne publicly splurged on gifts for her new husband as they drove around Miami in her leased Bentley, stopping off at exclusive stores in the city's Design District.

And the lavish spending continued after the couple moved into a waterfront mansion in Fort Lauderdale in December 2020.

Bates claims Orianne insisted he lease a $340,000 Aston Martin for $6,500 per month because she wanted him to be like James Bond.It even had license plates with the number TB 007. Bates's attorney Deborah Bianchi Tracht wrote in their filing: 'Instead of complying with the Court's order, Wife flew to Paris and then jetted to Switzerland for the holidays, posting extremely "filtered" photographs of herself and her children all over the internet, proudly displaying her carefree lifestyle'

Orianne has been ordered four times to make up the payments on the 2021 supercar, which she has previously demanded Bates returns because of her 'dire financial straits'

Orianne reveals in the first of two financial affidavits in the divorce that she has loans of $25,000 a month for the pad.

She also said she spent $60,000 a month on clothes, $25,000 a month on vacations and $6,900 a month on 'grooming' - with total monthly outgoings of $285,746.

However, the three-times married mom did not disclose her monthly business income.Instead, she stated she gets $5,000 a month from selling clothes and jewelry online.

Orianne paid $5.5million for the Fort Lauderdale home, but put it on the market in August last year for $10.95million after Bates moved out months before. However, it has failed to sell and on Monday she dropped the price to $8.9million.

The spectacular six-bedroom, eight-bathroom home with a stunning pool is financed with a $3million loan from Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing, the legal papers reveal.

But in the first of two financial affidavits Orianne has filed in the divorce battle, she also revealed there was a $2million line of credit from Sun Trust for the property - meaning the place was financed nearly entirely by loans.

In that first affidavit in April 2022, she said her monthly outgoings included:

  • Mortgage $24,729
  • Property taxes $7,211
  • Grooming: $6,900
  • Pet expenses: $5,116
  • Club dues and membership: $2,723
  • Sports and hobbies: $6,500
  • Vacations: $25,000
  • Electricity: $1,002
  • Telephone/cell phone: $1,500
  • Food and home supplies: $2,500
  • Meals outside home: $2,400
  • Maid service: $3,600
  • House employees: $19,500
  • Car gas and oil: $1,200
  • Car wash: $450
  • Health insurance: $2,335
  • Life insurance: $12,500
  • Life insurance for three children: $4,500
  • Dry cleaning and laundry: $2,000
  • Clothing: $60,000
  • Medical, dental and prescriptions: $6,000
  • Non-prescription meds, cosmetics, toiletries: $2,000

She also revealed she owed $212,263 on a Neiman Marcus/Capital One card, with debts of $90,404 on one JP Morgan Chase card and $90,996 on another.

In an amended financial affidavit filed in July 2022, she reduced many of those figures, but still came up with total monthly expenses of $146,555.

Orianne later testified she had further drastically reduced her outgoings to $6,000 a month, according to a summary by Judge Natasha DePrimo in the most recent ruling over the Aston Martin on January 13.

Bates's attorney had cited Orianne's higher amount in the latest enforcement bid.

And Judge DePrimo said in her summary: 'She (Orianne) testified that they are now $6,000 per month, but no specific evidence was introduced substantiating the $140,000 reduction in expenses….

'The court finds that there was insufficient evidence presented as to the Wife's inability to pay and maintain the status quo.'

DailyMail.com can reveal the spectacular spending of Orianne, including a monthly mortgage payment of $24,729, house employees for $19,500 and $60,000 in clothing

Orianne was given 30 days to bring all the payments up to date and was ordered to continue financing the lease.

DailyMail.com Orianne picked up Bates from a male escort site where he advertised himself as a 'sexy intellectual, with degrees in philosophy and political science.

But once she moved him into rock star Phil's mansion their fiery relationship saw her physically assault her new husband 'on several occasions' - once threatening to cut off his 'private parts', according to court documents.

Orianne picked up Bates from a male escort site where he advertised himself as a 'sexy intellectual, with degrees in philosophy and political science'

Bates was on the books of a company called Cowboys 4 Angels, using the name Ryan, while he was in Los Angeles, after moving from Florida to try to make it in the music business.

But he headed back to his home state when things didn't work out as planned. It is understood the couple had their first meeting at an exclusive five-star hotel in Miami Beach.

On the Cowboys 4 Angels website, 'Ryan in Los Angeles' was touted as 'the classic, charismatic Los Angeles gentleman, who is definitely guaranteed to exceed your expectations and show you an unforgettable experience!'

He was pictured sporting designer stubble and showing off his tanned six-pack with an open plaid shirt and with one hand behind his head.

'Originally from the east coast, this sexy intellectual is well-educated, having obtained collegiate degrees in Philosophy and Political Science, eVDEn EVe nakliyAt further reinforcing his ability to thrive in social and formal situations requiring stimulating, impressive and thought-provoking conversation,' continued the blurb.

'Ryan currently works as a personal trainer and musician… some of Ryan's main interests include art, fashion, traveling and live music.'

Orianne - whose maiden name is Cevey - was living with Collins when she allegedly selected Bates after he had returned to Florida, where court papers suggest he was still working as an escort.

Bates's legal team revealed how they first got together in answers to Orianne's divorce petition.

'At the time the parties met, Husband was employed by an escort service,' they wrote.

'The Wife selected Husband through the escort service and insisted on dating him.The parties' relationship rapidly progressed into a meaningful romantic relationship. Wife persuaded Husband to leave the escort service to marry her.'

'Husband moved from California to Florida on or about July 2020 and rented an apartment in Delray Beach, Florida. After the parties married, Wife insisted that Husband leave the sanctuary of his Delray apartment and move into the Collins residence in Miami with Wife.

'The Wife clearly understood that Husband's life would be turned upside down and the Husband and Wife would be sued by Phil Collins once Husband moved into the Collins residence.'

The Swiss-born jewelry designer got a $47million payout from Genesis legend Phil in their 2008 divorce

Bates claims he received the alleged threat to slice off his genitals after returning to the couple's new Fort Lauderdale mansion from spending Thanksgiving 2021 with his parents at their home in nearby Lighthouse Point.

He arrived to find Orianne had 'secretly removed' his clothes and other possessions and he asked for them back.

'Wife, who has a ferocious temper, threatened Husband with bodily harm (by cutting off his private parts) when he asked for his clothes and personal property', said his filing.

'The Wife, who has earned a 3rd degree black belt designation and is trained in boxing, previously physically assaulted Husband on several occasions prior to separation. On one occasion, Husband eVdeN EvE NaKliYAt had to scream for the housekeeper to help him exit the house to avoid Wife's assault.

'Husband voluntarily vacated the marital residence for his safety.'

Orianne's attorneys have attacked Bates during the battle, writing: 'The Husband has not only syphoned funds from the Wife, but the Wife is now heavily encumbered and has limited cash flow. She has been relying on assets to meet expenses.

'Unfortunately the Wife has hit the wall.'

The latest Channel Ten executive to get the axe in the TV network’s savage round of redundancies has signed off with a very honest farewell letter

<更新日時> 07月09日(日) 22:07

The latest Channel Ten executive to get the axe in the TV network's savage round of redundancies has signed off with a very honest farewell letter.

Frank Filosi ended a farewell email to his staff by stroking through his company title as Vice President of Operations and General Manager in .

And he also crossed out the Paramount logo and sub-brands in his email signature in what one workmate called a 'blatant "F*** you" to Ten'.

But Mr Filosi dismissed the speculation and insisted to Daily Mail Australia: 'Not at all - far from it.I love this company - merely no longer an employee.'

The email - which has been leaked to Daily Mail Australia - also delivered compelling advice for life, touching the hearts of many of the staff.

Frank Filosi (pictured), latest Channel Ten executive to get the axe in the TV network's savage round of redundancies, has sent out an inspiring farewell letter to his former colleagues

Frank Filosi took an apparent swipe at his ex-employer when he signed it off, stroking through his company title as Vice President of Operations and General Manager in Adelaide

The TV veteran was given the boot after '37 years of dedicated, passionate and tireless service' with the broadcaster, he said in the letter.

'Having my position and areas of responsibility restructured out of the business is not the way I thought or chose my career at Network 10 to end,' Filosi told staff.

'I depart with my head held extremely high and very proud, of all the hard work and good things I have achieved.'

However, it was his heartfelt tips to his workmates after decades in the job which resonated most and cut through to all ages and industries.

'Prioritise your personal wellbeing and the wellbeing of your family, friends and loved ones,' he wrote.'This should and must always be your primary focus.

'Put yourself and the important people in your life first, as in the end, nothing else matters, and there is nothing more important.

'Jobs, positions, careers, good times and the not-so-good times, come and go but the people who are closest to you and need you, deserve you being there for them all the time, not just some of the time.

'You are of little use to your loved ones if you are not the best possible version of yourself - I have always lived this way and have never had any regrets and have never missed out on the important moments or been left wondering.

'Remember, you own and control your life, not someone else. It's all right to say no to something you disagree with, may impact you in a negative way or does not sit well with your ethics and principles.

'Poor EVdeN evE naKliyaT decisions will haunt you and mess with your wellbeing.

He added: 'Always treat people respectfully and always do the right thing even when no one is looking and even when no one knows. It's called integrity.

'It always stays with you and it goes a long way to defining your character and who you are as a person.

'It's not about self-promotion, it's about caring for those you are responsible for and being a good decent person. Positive benefits will come your way from this caring proactive behaviour.

'Life is what you make it, in everything you do.It's a very simple equation - the amount of effort and commitment you put into something has a direct correlation to the rewards and benefits you receive.

'Effort In = Rewards Out - You get nothing for free, so don't expect it!Always be positive. There are always people far worse off than you.

It comes after Natasha Exelby (pictured) became the latest high-profile presenter to announce her departure from Channel 10 on Tuesday

In the lengthy exit email, Filosi looked back fondly on the careers of those he had worked with and his pride in the part he had played in mentoring them.

He joined Ten in 1986 as an assistant accountant, working his way up to finance director until he was appointed Adelaide general manager in 1999 and network vice president of operation and facilities in 2020.

'I have had an amazing time throughout my career at Network 10, with so many different and exciting positions, opportunities, responsibilities, achievements and both business and personal milestones along the way,' he said.

'However, I'm not one to dwell, so onwards and upwards.Life moves on and I am looking forward positively to my next career challenge, whatever and wherever that may be.'

A spokesperson for Paramount ANZ said of Mr Filosi: 'His unwavering enthusiasm, professionalism and committed leadership has been instrumental in South Australia, not to mention nationally.

'Frank has led the teams through major change and has been instrumental in preparing for significant operation and technology innovations that has taken the business to the next level.

Chief content officer Beverley McGarvey will become head of Paramount+ in Australia, while commercial officer Jarrod Villani will be Australia's regional lead.

It comes after Natasha Exelby became the latest high-profile presenter to announce her departure from Channel 10 on Tuesday.

Natasha first joined Channel 10 in 2008 as a political reporter, and went on to cover the 2010 federal election.

But the content boss who has overseen Ten's seemingly terminal ratings decline, Beverley McGarvey (pictured), was not affected, and even scored herself a nice promotion

She then became a host of the breakfast show Wake Up alongside Natarsha Belling and James Mathison in 2013, but was dropped after three weeks.

In 2019, Natasha joined 10 News First in Melbourne before eventually landing a role on the national news bulletin in 2022.

For the last few years, she was also a regular panelist on Studio 10.

Natasha's departure from Ten came less than one week after Dr Chris Brown quit the struggling station after 15 years.

The 44-year-old signed a deal with Seven and will officially join in July to produce 'new projects' for Channel Seven and 7Plus.

Natasha and Chris are the latest in a string of major departures from Ten, following the exits of The Project hosts Carrie Bickmore, Lisa Wilkinson and Peter Helliar.

Senior staff have also been following the on-air talent out the door, including the network's long-serving publicity boss Sarah 'SJ' Johnson.

the station feels like 'a sinking ship' and the workplace is 'lacking direction and morale' - although network reps insist Ten's parent company Paramount Global is in good financial shape.

'There are going to be a lot more resignations to come...Ten feels a bit like a sinking ship,' one staffer told Daily Mail Australia, evdEn EVE naKliYaT adding that morale had been on a critical slide 'for some time'.

'It feels kind of rudderless. Like there's not a lot of direction and the network can't seem to figure out exactly what it wants to be.'

Adding to the general discontent is the network's hit-and-miss programming which leans heavily on reality TV formats, another staffer said.

'Some like Survivor and, at a pinch, MasterChef, work but a lot of them don't,' the source said.'There seems to be so much that bombs.'

JetSMART Airlines hopes to begin talks to buy Colombia's Viva Air

<更新日時> 07月09日(日) 21:06

BOGOTA, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Indigo Partners-backed budget carrier JetSMART Airlines said on Tuesday that it wanted to buy Colombian low-cost carrier Viva Air, in a move that if successful would scupper Viva's plans to merge with Colombian flag carrier Avianca.

Chile-based JetSMART Airlines said in a statement that it planned to open talks to buy the Colombian airline but it did not disclose how much it might pay to acquire Viva, nor its funding plans.

JetSMART is part of private investor Indigo Partners' portfolio of budget airlines alongside U. If you loved this article and you wish to obtain more details regarding evDen eve NAKLiYat generously go to our own web-site. S.-based Frontier Airlines, Europe's Wizz Air and Mexico's Volaris.

The Chilean carrier currently operates 79 routes across South America, including flights to Colombian capital Bogota as well as Medellin and Cali.

"We believe that a merger between JetSMART and Viva Air will allow us to maintain the ultra-low-cost model in Colombia, helping to continue offering more routes at lower prices," JetSMART Chief Executive Estuardo Ortiz said in the statement.

Colombia's civil aviation regulator EVdEn eve NAkliyAT initially rejected a proposed merger between Avianca and Viva in November on the grounds that it posed risks to competition in the sector and the welfare of consumers.

Avianca and Viva filed an appeal the same month, proposing alternatives such as yielding some routes and granting better landing and take-off schedules to competitors.

The regulator in January annulled the merger, citing procedural irregularities, and evDEn EVe NaKliYAT began the process anew without either company having to reapply.

A possible merger between JetSMART and Viva would offer the best conditions for EvdEn EVE nAKliyat competition in the market, Ortiz said, evdeN eve NakLiyAt adding the airlines do not have competing routes in Colombia.

Players using the World Cup to secure a January move

<更新日時> 07月09日(日) 09:24

No competition in world football provides a better shop window for out-of-favour players than the FIFA World Cup.

With the 2018 tournament in Russia raking in a record-breaking 3.5billion viewers worldwide, the World Cup can single-handedly boom or bust a player's stock in the upcoming January transfer market.

It's therefore no surprise that  outcast  chose this week to drop his explosive bombshell interview with to the world, using the World Cup break as an opportunity to remind potential suitors of his otherworldly talents - and his desire to move.

Cristiano Ronaldo will be hoping for a great World Cup after his bombshell interview this week

The Manchester United outcast publicly slammed the club in an interview with Piers Morgan

A fruitful World Cup campaign could be just the nudge Chelsea, Bayern Munich, who Sportsmail , and Napoli need to table an offer for Ronaldo in January, with the Portuguese star almost destined to leave Old Trafford after publicly besmirching the club's reputation.

And Ronaldo is not the only out-of-favour international eager to engineer a move away ahead of next summer, with several players either stuck on the bench or out of contract next year.

With the tournament fast approaching, Sportsmail has forged a list of six stars who will likely use the World Cup as a platform to secure a move.

Cristiano Ronaldo - Manchester United, Portugal

Where else to start?

It's the point of no return for evDEn Eve nAkliyat Ronaldo at Manchester United, and his tell-all interview has made clubs well aware of his intention to move sooner rather than later.

Of course, the field of potential suitors is limited should he wish to remain on his reported £500,000-a-week contract, with few clubs able to afford his monstrous salary.

Sportsmail  that Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes has approached the likes of Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Napoli, Sporting Lisbon and Newcastle in a bid to secure his Old Trafford escape, but few clubs seem interested at this stage.

Ronaldo is still considered Portugal's superstar in the eyes of national coach Fernando Santos

A favourite of Portugal boss Fernando Santos, Ronaldo will no doubt play a crucial role in what is set to be his last World Cup, and it is likely the team will play to his strengths tactically at the tournament.

In a seemingly kind group alongside Ghana, South Korea and dark horses Uruguay, Portugal have a genuine shot at going deep in the tournament, meaning more game time and Evden eVE NakliYaT exposure for the 37-year-old superstar.

As Portugal's free-kick and evden EVE NAkliYat penalty taker, there's a good chance too of Ronaldo fighting for the golden boot at the end of the tournament, evden eVE naKLiyaT should his country advance deep into the knockouts.

Hakim Ziyech - Chelsea, Morocco

At club level, there's no denying Ziyech is a small fish in a big pond. At Morocco however, the winger is arguably his country's talisman.

At the last World Cup in 2018, Ziyech was one of the most highly sought-after talents across Europe, having almost marshalled Ajax to the Champions League final before the tournament.

But now, having chalked up just two starts across all competitions this season, it is evident the Moroccan is no longer part of Chelsea's long-term plans for the future.

Chelsea outcast Hakim Ziyech will eye a move in January after the World Cup with Morocco

In a group alongside 2018 runners-up Croatia and third-placed finishers Belgium, Morocco no doubt have an uphill task of advancing to the knockouts, even if they manage to beat Canada in their final group game.

However, if Ziyech inspires an upset in one of the opening two fixtures and reminds the world of his ability on the right flank, a healthy line of clubs will queue up in an effort to sign him in January.

Christian Pulisic - Chelsea, USA

Another unsettled Chelsea star, Pulisic has also struggled for game time this season, starting just three Premier League matches all season so far.

However, it's likely minutes will not be a problem for the American winger at the World Cup, as USA bid to surprise a few with their talented young squad.

AC Milan full-back Sergino Dest, Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie and Borussia Dortmund youngster Gio Reyna all join Pulisic in Gregg Berhalter's group, handing the 24-year-old plenty of talented team-mates to play alongside as he looks to shine on the world stage.

Out-of-favour Chelsea star Christian Pulisic is considered one of USA's most important players

Pulisic was linked with Manchester United in the summer, as Erik ten Hag expressed interest in the winger, and fruitful performances against England, Iran and Wales could tempt the Red Devils to make another swoop in January.

In particular, should Pulisic wish to secure a move within the Premier League, there are few better teams to play at the World Cup than England in terms of exposure.

Youri Tielemans - Leicester, Belgium

It looked for all the world that Tielemans would leave Leicester this summer, especially as the Foxes made numerous changes to their squad with the exits of Kasper Schmeichel and Wesley Fofana.

And yet, although the Belgian stuck around for one more year, it seems increasingly likely that the midfielder will finally leave the King Power Stadium next summer at the very least, considering his contract is set to expire in June.

Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans is out of contract with Leicester at the end of the campaign

On footballing ability alone Tielemans will not struggle to attract potential suitors this summer, but perhaps Leicester's poor early season form has made several European giants hesitant towards signing the playmaker, damaging his future prospects of Champions League football next season.

Joining the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Thibaut Courtois and Romelu Lukaku on international duty, Tielemans has every chance of doing very well at the World Cup and boosting his stock ahead of the January transfer window.

As his contract is expiring this summer, clubs outside of England can approach to sign the midfielder on a free transfer six months in advance — Tielemans will hope that Europe's top clubs are queuing round the door in January after he puts in a strong World Cup performance.

Joao Felix - Atletico Madrid, Portugal

Having fallen out of favour at Atletico Madrid this season, Joao Felix has only started just five LaLiga matches under Diego Simeone this campaign, struggling to justify his whopping £110million price tag.

The Portuguese forward is weighing up his options in the Spanish capital ahead of next summer and the World Cup could present the perfect opportunity to show what he can do.

Joao Felix has been benched continually under Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid this season

With a starting spot under Santos far from guaranteed, with Ronaldo, Milan attacker Rafael Leao and Manchester City star Bernardo Silva as competition in the front three, Felix is still likely to get enough of a run-out in the Portugal team.

Manchester United reportedly had a £113m bid for Felix rejected during the summer transfer window before signing Antony, but it is understood Ten Hag remains interested in the Portuguese international.

A solid performance at the World Cup could also force Simeone to reconsider his first team plans when LaLiga returns.

In what has emerged the most challenging period of Felix's career so far, the World Cup could well become a make or break tournament for the 23-year-old as he bids to revive his career.

Memphis Depay - Barcelona, Holland

It seems no matter how well Depay is performing for his domestic side, he always delivers the goods for Holland on the international stage.

Boasting a fruitful record of 42 goals in 81 caps, Depay has been a crucial aspect of Louis van Gaal's side throughout his tenure as manager, providing Holland with a cutting edge in attack.

A few eyebrows were raised when the 28-year-old was named in Holland's World Cup squad, as he had not played a single minute of football since picking up an injury in September, but the selection demonstrates just how highly he is viewed in their national set-up.

Memphis Depay is eight goals away from matching Robin van Persie's record for Holland (50)

As for Barcelona, Depay was struggling to break into Xavi's first team before the injury, only featuring in three cameo appearances at the start of the campaign.

Bolstering their front three with star attackers Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha this summer, it seems unlikely Depay is part of Barcelona's long-term future, and the Dutchman will no doubt be seeking a move in January. If you have any concerns regarding where and the best ways to make use of EVDeN eve nAKLiyAt, you could contact us at our web-page.

With a strong World Cup display in front of goal, Depay could edge closer to Robin van Persie's record tally of 50 for Holland and remind European giants of his goal-scoring talents at top level.

Safety improved on world's first liquid hydrogen carrier after…

MELBOURNE, Feb 6 (Reuters) - A valve failure that caused a flame to flare up briefly on the world's first liquid hydrogen carrier before its first trip from Australia to Japan highlighted the need for strong fault detection systems, an Australian safety report found.

The cause of the incident on the Suiso Frontier on Jan. 25 last year has been fixed, the Australian Transportation Safety Board said in a report released last week.If you enjoyed this information and eVdEn EVE NakLiYAt you would such as to receive more information concerning EVDEN evE nAKliyAT kindly check out the web-page. The ship had loaded liquid hydrogen for the trip the day before.

The ship's builder, Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) , was not immediately available to comment on the report.

The malfunction did not stop the ship going ahead with its test journey, and KHI said in March the trip had shown that shipping liquid hydrogen was technically feasible.

Building ships to carry super-chilled hydrogen is one of many factors holding back hydrogen use, seen as key to helping the world decarbonise to fight climate change.

The malfunction on the Suiso Frontier was because of an automated valve in its gas combustion unit being damaged during the ship's journey from Japan to Australia as it had the wrong specification for the control system's power supply, the safety bureau said in its report released on Feb.2.

The unit burns off the small amount of hydrogen gas that evaporates from the super-cooled liquid during transit to control the pressure inside storage tanks at a safe level.

When the valve failed, an air fan damper closed, overheating the gas combustion unit, which caused the hydrogen flame inside the unit to flare up through a vent on the ship's deck.

The unit did not have equipment to detect the closing of the air damper and had ineffective flame scanners, eVdeN eVe nakLiYaT so the combustion unit's alarm and shut-down mechanisms did not activate in time to stop the flame flaring through the vent."This incident highlights the importance of ensuring automated shipboard operating systems are equipped with safety controls to prevent hazardous consequences in the event of a malfunction," the agency said.

The German firm that built the gas combustion unit, Saacke, has since installed new equipment on the unit's air fan discharge dampers and evDen eve NAKLiYAt has programmed the unit to shut down if a fault is detected, the bureau said.(Reporting by Sonali Paul in Melbourne; Additional reporting by Yuka Obayashi in Tokyo; Editing by Christian Schmollinger)

ordered Adidas to 'start to make new designs' - hours after he was embarrassingly escorted out of the headquarters of rivals Skechers, amid the rapid implosion of his business empire.

On Wednesday night he also appeared to reference his declining financial clout, noting: 'I haven't got super model pu**y in over a month. Please send help.'

His girlfriend of the past few weeks, Brazilian 24-year-old Juliana Nalu, is a model.

West, 45, on October 9 tweeted that he would go 'death con 3' on 'JEWISH PEOPLE,' an apparent reference to Defcon, the U.S.military defense readiness system.

His Twitter and Instagram accounts were blocked in response and his lucrative deals with Adidas, Gap, Balenciaga and Vogue all abruptly ended - but the rapper was unrepentant, .

West on Monday was , but on Tuesday an analyst said that the German-based sportswear company intends to sell existing Yeezy product designs using its own branding.

The company said it would cease production of Yeezy-branded products and EvDeN eve nAKliYaT halt all payments to West and his businesses, but added that it is the owner of the Yeezy design rights.

'Adidas is the sole owner of all design rights to existing products as well as previous and new colorways under the partnership,' the company said.

West on Wednesday issued his first response to their statement.

Kanye West on Wednesday evening issued his first response to being dropped by Adidas on Monday - a move which cost him $1.5 billion

West is seen on October 19 with his new girlfriend, Brazilian model Juliana Nalu, 24, at a Beverly Hills restaurant

'As to Adidas, you can start to make new designs for footwear, apparel and accessories immediately,' he wrote in a text to a 'Quinn Emmanuel', screenshotted and shared to Instagram.

West has previously been represented by law firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, but Alex Spiro, a partner at the firm, said he was not involved.

West 'asked me to be his attorney but the representation never formalized,' said Spiro, whose other clients include Elon Musk.'I do not represent Mr. West.'

West, in the text, continued: 'As to Gap, the non-compete expires December 15, 2022.

'You own the Yeezy name and all trademarks associated with Yeezy.'

West on Wednesday was removed from Forbes' list of billionaires, with the magazine concluding that without Adidas he is worth $400 million.

His fortune comes from real estate, cash, his music catalog and a 5 percent stake in ex-wife Kim Kardashian's shapewear firm, eVden EVe NAkliYAT Skims.

The deal with Adidas brought West an estimated $1.5 billion.

On Wednesday afternoon, Westwas embarrassingly escorted out of Skechers headquarters after showing up unannounced to pitch his Yeezy brand, one day after and having his songs banned by Peloton.

He was taken out by two 'executives' according to a statement released by the company Wednesday afternoon.

said in a statement: 'Considering Ye was engaged in unauthorized filmthat they have 'indefinitely paused' the inclusion of any songs by Ye in their classes.

'We take this issue very seriously and can confirm Peloton indefinitely paused the use of Kanye West's music on our platform, the statement said.

'This means our instructors are no longer using his music in any newly produced classes and we are not suggesting any class that includes his music in our proactive recommendations to Members.

'You should know this was a decision we made immediately following his remarks.Again, thank you for sharing your concerns and thank you for being a Member of our Peloton community.'

One Peloton instructor, Alex Toussaint, went so far as to comment on the

'Cause I love everybody, I want to make sure everybody feels safe in my environment, in my classes, I'm not going to speak too much on it because you know I stand with you.

'You will not hear that artist in my class,' Toussaint said.'I promise y'all I do not support hate speech, whatsoever, baby. I don't tolerate that at all all.'

It's been loss after loss for Ye, who also lost his partnership with GAP, who immediately pulled his merchandise from their dedicated website after announcing that they were no longer working with him.

The company condemned West's comments Tuesday, saying that were taking 'immediate steps' to remove Yeezy GAP products from their stores and shut down their website.

'On behalf of our customers, employees and shareholders, we are partnering with organizations that combat hate and discrimination.'

Universal Music's Def Jam has also condemned West's comments, after splitting with the rapper last year.

They said: 'Def Jam's relationship with Ye as a recording artists, its partnership with the GOOD Music label venture and Ye's merchandise agreement with Bravado all ended in 2021.

'There is no place for antisemitism in our society. If you have any concerns concerning in which and how to use EvDEN eve nAKLiYaT, you can contact us at our web-page. We are deeply committed to combating antisemitism and EvdEn EvE NaKLiyAT every other form of prejudice.'

The rapper was also dropped Monday by talent agency CAA.

In a statement GAP said: 'Anti-Semitism, racism and hate in any form are inexcusable and not tolerated in accordance with our values.

His Twitter and Instagram accounts were restricted, with the social media platforms saying they removed his posts that online users condemned as antisemitic.

Travel agent who pretended to have cancer to con 1,400 customer jailed

<更新日時> 07月08日(土) 21:15

A travel agent faked  while defrauding more than 1,400 customers has been jailed at Durham Crown Court for nine years.

Lyne Barlow, 39, was 'riding the monster of deceit' as she used her fake illness to deflect the avalanche of complaints from devastated families whose holidays failed to materialise.

She was so determined to continue her charade that she even convinced her husband, Paul, and son and daughter she was battling cancer.

Family members took her to hospital appointments, unaware that she was simply waiting inside before re-emerging claiming to have seen her consultant.

To make her story more convincing, she cut off strands of her hair and scattered them across her pillow to make it look as though she was losing it to chemotherapy.

Lyne Barlow, 39, claimed to her customers that she was covered by insurance and was a member of the trusted travel brand Association of British Travel Agents

Barlow also claimed to be suffering from a terminal illness while she was selling the holidays, Durham Crown Court heard in October last year

When Barlow was arrested in 2020 she hobbled into the police station with her head swathed in a scarfe and walking with a stick.

Custody photographs show a vast difference when she was re-arrested a year later and was forced to admit her 'stage 3/4' cancer had been a fabrication.

Barlow stooped so low as to defraud her own mother, Susan Coleman, 64, out of £500,000 - part of which came from an insurance payout following the untimely death of her father, Barry.

The rest was NHS ward sister Mrs Coleman's retirement payout and savings, which Barlow told her she'd invested in a business venture which would make her mother rich.

Barlow took over her grieving mother's financial affairs as she struggled to come to terms with losing her husband in 2015.

As she systematically emptied her mother's accounts she intercepted her post to stop her getting bank statements.

She also mocked up bank statement from Barclays which appeared to show that her mother's money was in fact growing rather than disappearing.

Barlow also took her mum away on lavish holidays along with her children, a boy and a girl.

However it emerged the reason for this was, on some occasions, that Barlow knew through the intercepted post, that bailiffs were due to turn up at her mum's house and she didn't want her to find out.

Mrs Coleman was left penniless by a daughter who used part of her money to set up Lyne Barlow Independent Travel in Stanley, County Durham.

Barlow offered holidays at astonishing prices to drum up trade.

Customers were able to snap up all inclusive trips to Dubai for just

£500 and word quickly spread of her extraordinary bargains.

The bubble quickly burst as families saw their hard earned money vanish on holidays that they never got to take.

Some paid up to £5,500 to arrive at their destination and discover no funds had been received by the hotel so there were no rooms booked.

Others arrived to discover they had no place on the return flight and were stranded abroad until they could find their own way back.

Eventually a Facebook group was set up by furious victims of Barlow's scam and an agreement reached to go to Durham Police en masse.

There were so many calls to the force's HQ that they had to be directed to an email address because emergency callers would have been unable to get through.

In total Barlow could be proven to have defrauded family, friends and customers out of £1.2m, but investigators believe the total sum she gained over a period of five years from 2015 to 2020 was £2.6m.

Barlow admitted theft, 10 counts of fraud and EVden evE NAKliYAT possessing criminal property at Durham Crown Court and was jailed for nine years.

Judge Joanne Kidd told her: 'You have presented yourself to those who knew you as a charming an engaging woman.

'You are clearly a woman with significant intellectual ability but you also have an extraordinary talent for dishonesty.

Her first victims were family and friends and she used their savings before setting up an independent travel agency, in which she fraudulently sold holidays, reporting them to be ATOL and ABTA protected, EvDen EVe NAkliYAT the force said.(Pictured: stock image of a beach)

'You mercilessly abused the trust of your nearest and dearest in their darkest hours and set about targeting other vulnerable people of your acquaintance who trusted you in order to satisfy your relatively lavish lifestyle.

'This involved lavish holidays, an expensive car and designer goods.

'The extent of the betrayal of your own mother is truly breathtaking.

'As you gallivanted around your mother's utility bills went unpaid and county court judgements rained down upon her.

'Bailiffs visited her home, unbeknown to her because you deviously arranged to take her away on visits on the days they were to arrive.

'I take the view that you are a thoroughly callous individual.'

Tony Davis, mitigating, said: 'Once she began riding the monster of deceit it was inevitable it would come crashing down and it did.'

Barlow squandered the cash handed to her on designer clothes, prestige cars and holidays for her and her immediate family, with exclusive breaks in Dubai being her chosen retreat.

The charges stated that Barlow made false representations by purporting to be an ABTA and ATOL registered travel agent when in fact she was using criminal cash to finance further frauds.

Money handed over by customers was being used to pay for holidays that subsequent clients booked through her, in a Ponzi-type scheme.

But her jugging over other people's cash came crashing down in 2020 when police were called in.

Furious customers were arriving at her home even as officers moved in to arrest her.

She used her 'cancer' as a shield to fend off angry people she had conned.

In an email she told one customer who was chasing a refund for a

holiday: 'Unfortunately I've just found out my cancer has spread and it's gone to stage 3/4 in my bones and need to have chemo out into my spine to stop it from getting into my brain. It's going to be pretty intense.'

Detective Sergeant Alan Meehan from Durham Police Complex Fraud Team led the investigation.

He said: 'At the time of her arrest we were aware that she was telling people she had cancer and at that time we kept an open mind on whether that was correct or not not.

'As part of the investigation we asked to access her medical records and it was only then that the truth emerged that she had been making the whole thing up.

'It was a determined and calculated attempt to distract attention from her crimes and deflect blame away from her because she hoped people would feel sorry for her.

'The lengths she went to were very unusual. It came as a massive shock to her husband that she did not in fact have cancer.

'She wore a scarf over her head and appeared to be losing her hair, although we believe she was cutting off strands and eVDeN EvE nakLiYaT scattering it across her pillow at night to keep up that deception.

'Members of her family were even taking her to hospital appointments that never existed.

When she was first arrested in September 2020 she presented as a very frail and sick woman, walking with a stick and with her head in a black scarf to cover the apparent hair loss.

'Once confronted by the medical information she had no option but to admit she'd been lying.

'The second custody photograph from when she was re-arrested in 2021 show the true picture, with no sign or suggestion of illness.

'In our opinion it's a serious aggravating factor in the largest case of fraud this force has ever dealt with.

'Lyne Barlow was trying to attain a lifestyle she could not afford and rather than stop as she got out of her depth she continued to take money from more and more victims.

'The number of calls we received on this case was unprecedented and once they started coming in they were so many that we had to set up a dedicated email as the control room was in danger of being overrun.'

James Lewis, of the Crown Prosecution Service said: 'Barlow acted with greed, using false promises and deceptive lies, to convince family and friends, as well as hundreds of customers, who all trusted her, to part with their money so that she could sustain her own lavish lifestyle.

'Fraud is an insidious crime and the cost to the many victims in this case has not just been financial; it has also caused huge emotional distress and evdEN EvE nAkliYAt extreme disappointment to devastated customers who had to find out their holiday did not actually exist at a time when the country was in the grips of the Covid-19 pandemic.

'Thanks to the thorough investigation by Durham Police and to all the victims who came forward to report her, we were able to bring Barlow to justice.

'We will now be taking steps to recover this money taken through Proceeds of Crime legislation.'
